Animation Notes from the Regular Show

So, been watching lots of youtube vids on making  your own shit, and here's some stuff I found useful:

ACT 1: 25%

Start character in a state of equilibrium.

Then define his goals,

i.e. he wants something,

he needs something,

he is denied something, etc.

ACT 2: 50%

He starts his journey to solve his problem.

This starts small - escalates towards climax

ACt 3: 25%

The story climaxes

The character solves problem, and is

returned to a new state of equilibrium

POST ITS!

comedy in communication breakdowns

1/3 our, 1/3 others, 1/3 made up

sit in a room about a year and write hundred of scene ideas

slowly plot reveals itself

write half the script

outline for 3 or 4 months outlining around he hunk

go out few weeks, finish draft

rewrite and do table read

rewrite, table

rewrite, rehearsal

rewrite, rehearsal
