New Boards!
Dude! Sorry it's taken so long. Beent thinking way too much about dumb stuff and yeah just dunno, got that move to LA which I'm hoping goes well and just trying to figure life out I guess. I'm also trying to work on my drawing skills D:
But! Trying to just get back in the groove of things and just moving forward even though I have no idea where I'm moving forward to.
I was trying to figure out the transition from the barq bros to the three years later. I like using the moon as a transition and maybe even using the moon as a sort of symbol to show the decaying relationship between gen and sky. So when things are looking good a full moon, when things are going bac, a waning moon, when shits getting better- waxing and of course maybe for the end a nice full moon.
But if we go with that then it won't fit for our climax which is supposed to be the lowest point of the relationship. We want that full moon backdrop so it wouldn't work if it's full and everything is going to shit.
OR! maybe as he's going up it looks like there's no moon, but as he's falling and he realizes his wrongs (whatever), we somehow reveal a full moon. Maybe something like a lunar eclipse which would then fit with that moon-relationship symbolism.
Will keep working on this.
Also, dude...if this piece is looking good we should post it up our personal twitters/tumblr/blogs w/e and see what the response is, and if it's good, maybe really animate this thing?
Mandrews kinda suggested not totally animating it, and just boarding personal movies. So like you said, maybe just take it to the level we saw in those incredible boards and work on a new project. rinse. repeat.
Ideas? Are you even still interested in boarding this story?
